National 9/11 Memorial and Museum

An early Saturday morning brought me to the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum, a first time for me since the past couple times I had been in New York, the memorial was still under construction. We took the subway (E line) down to the World Trade Center, and a beautiful sight greeted us:

It took a while to figure out which line we needed to get into, since there were many, but because we did not pre-purchase tickets, we first stood in line to buy them for the museum. (Pre-purchasing tickets is by the hour, so we decided not to lock ourselves into a time slot but rather move at our own pace). The memorial is open to the public and does not need tickets to see. We received tickets for the 12pm time slot, so at 12pm we stood in another line to get into the museum! So many lines…

Regardless, it was totally worth it. The museum had many parts to it, different artwork and remains of the Twin Towers.
